Used by makeup artists and celebrities all around the world to create the perfect base for makeup at photoshoots, events, and fashion shows, it’s heralded as a holy grail product to have in one’s collection for a reason. This cult favorite is an affordable and multi-use product that can be used as a moisturizer, primer, and makeup remover. A little goes a long way so one bottle will last you through the season.

2. Murad Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisturize ($75)

For the luxe ladies out there who are willing to splurge, you can’t go wrong with this. This thick yet lightweight cream delivers the hydration and moisture you’ll need to achieve plump, baby-soft skin with ingredients like sunflower oil, avocado oil, and collagen. This is a personal favorite of mine because it’s rich but not greasy, so it’s flexible enough for day or night time use and doesn’t add to my oily skin. It also makes a great base for makeup.

3. Glossier Priming Moisturizer Rich ($35)

Killing two birds with one stone, this rich and buttery night cream replenishes the skin with ingredients like ceramides, murumuru butter, and fatty acids to help strengthen the skin’s moisture barrier and soften while also helping to calm and relax you with lavender oil. A high-quality night cream without the high-quality price.

4. Mario Badescu Caviar Night Cream ($22)

For those with a dry skin type and are in need of an intense, heavy duty night cream, look no further. Containing caviar extract, cocoa butter, and collagen, this balm-like cream will bring you closer to the skin of your dreams with each use for softer and firmer skin that’s free of rough texture and dullness.

5. Mario Badescu Seaweed Night Cream ($22)

A lightweight yet effective night cream built for those like myself with oily skin, this cream sinks right into the skin without leaving any signs of residue or greasiness so that when you wake up you’re not an oil slick. Instead, you’re left with radiant, silky smooth skin thanks to the bladderwrack extract and collagen which aids in toning the skin for a more bouncy and rejuvenated look.
