Just like every other type of makeup, nail polish can be tricky for dark skin because undertones are the most important thing when it comes to choosing the perfect nude. Pink nude polishes are said to be universally flattering and a suitable nude for everyone since the nail bed is naturally pink, which is true, but a true nude is also a color that is similar to your skin tone. And us dark skinned girls are far from pink.
For dark skin, anything from caramel to chocolate colors will always be your best and safest bet but they tend to be hard colors to find, so here are 9 colors I searched high and low for and have even tried myself. Black UP and OPI’s Going My Way or Norway are some personal favorites of mine and my skin tone is around an NW45-47 for reference.
