I love mixed greens with artichoke hearts, tomatoes, cucumbers, alfalfa sprouts, and avocado, and radishes. I am so full after I am done. Starting with a salad will reduce your chances of over eating the main course also. The benefit here is the raw goodness of your salad with loads of vitamins, minerals, and healing properties. Also, add a green smoothie to your morning routine. Its packed with raw fruits and vegetables and will help to reduce period cramping.
Purchasing meat that is organic, grass fed, and humanely raised is your best bet for better health. Grass fed animals have a higher level of Omega 3 fatty acids, which assist with helping the body produce anti-inflammatory compounds. . Organically raised, free-range animals also have lower levels of hormones, antibiotics, pesticide residue, and other artificial chemicals. These factors are associated with health problems such as menstrual cramping, cancer, and other ailments that begin with inflammation.
Cold Water Fish
Salmon, halibut, cod, sardines, and tuna are all full of Omega-3 fatty acids and lineolic acid, which are great for preventing and soothing inflammation in the body. If you are not a fan of fish, try a high quality fish oil supplement.
